Vineyard Water Drainage Tips

Water control

1. The flowering grape controls the grape from the initial flowering to the final flowering period, which is 10-15 days. If the flowering rain meets pollination and fertilization, it is prone to size-grain phenomenon. It is also easy to cause shoots to grow long, which will seriously affect the pollen germination, resulting in falling buds and reduced yield.

2. The coloring period of berry should be controlled appropriately. The coloring period of grape is not long, from the beginning of coloring to harvesting, about 20-30 days, and the middle can be filled with water once. Excessive moisture in the ripening period of the berries will affect the coloring, cracking and quality of the fruit, and it is also prone to anthrax and white rot. Therefore, attention should be paid to water drainage.

Timely drainage

Excessive soil moisture in summer and autumn can cause shoots to grow long, delay fruit ripening, and reduce fruit quality. If water accumulates in the tree tray, it will cause oxygen deficiency in the root system, cause the roots to suffocate, and the plants will die. Therefore, when constructing a vineyard, drains should be arranged. General drainage ditches are combined with roads and windbreaks, that is, one side of the main road is used to connect with the main drainage channel outside the park, and a drainage branch is provided on one side of the field work track to allow excessive rainwater to drain from the vine. The drainage branch of the community is discharged outside the park. It is required that all levels of drainage have a gap, so that the drainage will be open. Drainage is better for buried pipes. In this way, field operations can be facilitated, and in the rainy season, the water outlet can be smoothly opened, drained in time, and destroyed.
